BELIEFS

What we Believe

At Trinity Fellowship, our beliefs are rooted in the Bible and centered on the truth of who God is.

There is one God, and He exists forever and in three Persons - the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

God the Father is the creator and sustainer of everything. Jesus Christ is God and is the Son of God. He is the living Word of God, and through Him all things were created—He is completely God and completely man. The Holy Spirit is God, and He is the Giver of life.

Genesis 1:26, John 14:16-17, John 1:1

The Bible is the perfect word of God, written by God through man.

The Bible—being both the Old and New Testaments—is the only infallible Word of God. It is the single source of all doctrine, instruction, correction, and reproof, and is the all-inclusive guidebook on how to practically live a godly life.

2 Timothy 3:16, Isaiah 55:11, Mathew 24:35, Joshua 1:8, Psalm 12:6

Jesus Christ's death and resurrection made salvation possible.

When Jesus died for us on the cross, He paid the penalty for all of man’s sins. Redemption is received through the personal acceptance of Christ as Savior and Lord.

Hebrews 9:12, 1 Peter 3:18, Isaiah 53:5, 1 Peter 2:24, Revelation 5:9

Salvation is a free gift.

We did nothing and could never do anything to deserve salvation. But when Jesus died on the cross, His goodness allowed us to be saved if we would have faith in Him and make Him Lord.

Mark 16:15-16, Acts 2:38, Romans 10:8-10, Ephesians 2:8-9, 1 John 2:2

The Christian life is one of knowing and loving Christ.

It is the combination of the new life God gives us at salvation and the truth He teaches us as we live it. The Holy Spirit guides us through various circumstances in life, always revealing to us truths about Him and ourselves in the process. Faithfulness is trusting Him through it all and learning to submit our personal desires to His perfect will.

Romans 12:12, Ephesians 4:14-16, Galatians 5:16-26, Philippians 2:12-13

The mission of the church is to make disciples.

The Church doesn’t just exist to get people into heaven but also to train and equip them so that they are complete in Christ and able to live for Him here on Earth.

Matthew 16:18, Acts 20:28, Romans 12:4-5, Hebrews 13:17

Baptism and the Lord's Supper were instituted by Jesus.

These two practices were instituted by Jesus when He was on earth and are continued by His church to this day. Water baptism is the outward sign of the inner work God has already done in individual lives. The Lord’s Supper is done in honor and remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice until His return and is a sign of our participation in Him.

Acts 2:38, Mark 16:16, Matthew 28:19, Colossians 2:12-13

Jesus Christ is coming back.

When He comes, all those who serve Him will reign with Him.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, John 14:3, Matthew 25:31-46, Hebrews 9:28

Marriage is sanctioned by God.

Marriage has only one meaning, which is the joining together of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive covenant as defined in the Bible.

Genesis 2:22-24, Matthew 19:4-6, 1 Timothy 3:12, Ephesians 5:22-28

In addition to our essential beliefs, we have non-essential beliefs in which we show liberty.

In all beliefs, we show charity.

Romans 14:1-4, 1 John 4:7

Trinity Fellowship Church is an independent or “nondenominational” church. We are a charismatic church, believing that the gifts are the Holy Spirit are meant for regular use in the life of the believer.

Our Senior Pastor, Jimmy Witcher, sets our vision and leads Trinity Fellowship Church, including all campuses, the Trinity Fellowship Association of Churches, and other ministry efforts. What ministries or programs are offered?

At every campus there are opportunities to join a group, serve, receive prayer and prophetic ministry, worship, and take a next step, such as getting baptized. Certain events and groups may be tailored to men, women, and married couples throughout the year.

How does this church help me grow spiritually?

We have developed a “discipleship journey” to help you determine what action you may be ready to take in your spiritual walk. While the steps do not need to happen in order, we do believe they represent key aspects of living the Christian life and that advancing through each step can be helpful towards your spiritual growth and living your God-given purpose. You can explore the steps here.
